Sakuragawa Kyowa Law Office was established in September 2022 by attorneys from Sakuragawa Sogo Law Office and Minato Kyowa Law Office.
Sakuragawa Sogo Law Office, the predecessor of Sakuragawa Kyowa Law Office, has been handling a wide range of corporate legal matters as its main practice, especially in the areas of M&A, business restructuring and bankruptcy resolution.
In establishing Sakuragawa Kyowa Law Office, the five attorneys who joined from Minato Kyowa Law Office also have abundant experience in business restructuring, as well as in corporate law and international transactions. We are proud that the establishment of Sakuragawa Kyowa Law Office has enabled us to establish a system that can further contribute to the rehabilitation and further development of our clients’ companies.
In January 2024, we started a new foreign law joint venture with Inohara Foreign Law Office, and we started our business as “Sakuragawa Kyowa Law Office/Inohara Foreign Law Office (Foreign Law Joint Enterprise)”. With this, we are now in a position to provide even more comprehensive services for international matters.
Sakuragawa Kyowa Law Offices and Inohara Foreign Law Office (Gaikokuho Joint Enterprise) will continue to make efforts to contribute to our clients by making daily improvements so that our clients can promptly deal with various legal issues that may arise in the ever-changing social and economic environment.

We have been involved in M&A transactions for nearly 20 years, from before the establishment of our firm to the present, and have handled more than 300 M&A transactions to date.
In the area of business restructuring, we have a number of lawyers who play a central role in a group of Tokyo attorneys who mainly handle business restructuring and bankruptcy cases, and we have built up a track record of involvement in such cases.
In addition, as we accumulate experience in these matters, we have built a network of certified public accountants, tax accountants, consultants, and other professionals who are particularly strong in business restructurings and M&A. This network enables us to respond quickly and in close cooperation with our clients.
In the area of corporate legal affairs, we have handled cases for clients ranging from publicly listed companies to start-up companies and in a variety of industries. We provide a wide range of legal services, from the establishment of new business models to capital policies.
As we continue to work on a large number of cases in the future, we will continue to provide our accumulated know-how for the development of our clients.
